Automations: How to Add the Same Item to Other Boards Automatically

Overview

Same Item Multiple Boards comes with custom automations, enhancing your ability to manage tasks across multiple boards seamlessly. With these automations, you can now tailor your workflow to match your unique project management needs.

Examples

People Based: When a person is assigned to an item, add the same item to another board
Status Based: When status changes to done, add the same item to another board
Item creation: When an item is created in one board, add it automatically to another board

You can use any triggers to perform this action: button, dropdown labels, column changes, and more.

How to Automate

Navigate to the automations center on your board.
Select "create custom automation".
Determine the triggers (like a status change)
Click on the 2nd part of the sentnce and scroll all the way down until you find the "Same Item Multiple Boards" icon. Click on it, and choose the desired board.

Once your custom automation is set up, the app will handle the rest, syncing your items across the selected boards based on your triggers.
