How to Use the Connected Boards Column in SIMB
With the latest update, you can now use the Connected Boards column feature in the Same Item Multiple Boards (SIMB) app on monday.com. This guide will walk you through the necessary steps to set it up effectively.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Create a Connected Boards Column in Both Boards
Navigate to the first board.
Add a new column and select "Connected Boards" from the column types.
Name this column (e.g., "Project Link").
Repeat the same process on the second board, ensuring you use the same column name ("Project Link").
Manually Connect the Same Boards
Go back to the first board and open the "Project Link" column settings.
Manually connect the relevant boards to this column.
Perform the same steps on the second board, and link the same boards to in the "Project Link" column.
Once both boards are manually connected through the "Project Link" column, automatic syncing will commence.
Any items connected in the connected boards column will now reflect automatically across both boards, keeping your data synchronized.
