How to Correctly Copy Item and Subitem URLs

When you click on an item or subitem to edit it, your browser’s address bar often continues to show the Board URL rather than the specific link to that record. If you copy the address bar at this stage, your teammates will be directed to the top of the board instead of the specific item you wanted them to see.

To get the correct link, follow these steps:

Method 1: The "Expand" Method (Best for Address Bar)

• Hover your mouse over the item or subitem name.

• Click the Open/Expand Icon (two diagonal arrows) that appears on the right side of the cell.

• Once the item opens in a full-page or centered view, the URL in your browser’s address bar will update to the unique item link.

• Copy the URL directly from the browser address bar.

Method 2: The "Pulse Menu" Method (Fastest)

• If you already have the item's side panel open:

• Look at the upper right-hand corner of the item panel.

• Click the Three Dots (...) menu (often called the Pulse Menu).

• Select Copy Item Link from the dropdown menu.
