Track where your items live across boards—at a glance.
What is the Item Locations Column?
The Item Locations column is a new feature in the Same Item Multiple Boards app that helps you keep track of where each item exists across your connected boards. When an item is added to multiple boards, this column shows you all the boards that contain the same item.
Why is this feature important?
Managing shared items across multiple boards can be challenging, especially when collaborating across teams or departments. The Item Locations column makes this easier by:
Giving you instant visibility into where your items are located.
Reducing the need to manually check other boards.
Helping your team stay aligned and avoid duplication.
This feature enhances transparency and improves overall project coordination.
How to use the Item Locations Column
Once you’ve added an item to another board using the Same Item Multiple Boards app, the Item Locations column will automatically appear in your item’s row.
Here’s what you can do with it:
Hover over the column to view the names of all boards the item exists on.
Click any board name to instantly navigate to that item in the target board.
Turn off the column in your app settings if it’s not needed for your workflow.
✅ Note: This column will only display once an item has been added to at least one other board.
⚙️ How to Disable the Item Locations Column
You can turn off the column if it’s not needed:
Go to the Same Item Multiple Boards app view on your board.
Click on the Settings icon (⚙️).
Toggle off the Item Locations Column option.
Once disabled, the column will no longer appear for new items added via the app.
🔁 Already added columns will stay visible until removed manually.
