Why Are There Webhooks on Your Boards?

To streamline your workflows and ensure seamless communication between boards, webhooks play a critical role in the functionality of the Same Item Multiple Boards app. Here’s why they’re essential:

Real-Time Updates
Webhooks ensure that changes made on one board—such as status updates or new items—are reflected immediately across linked boards, keeping everyone on the same page.

Automatic Synchronization
Items, updates, and columns are synchronized without manual intervention, reducing administrative overhead and improving accuracy.

Why Webhooks Are Added to Boards Not Actively Using the App

To further enhance your experience, "move item to group" webhooks are also added to boards that don’t actively use the Same Item Multiple Boards app. This is a precautionary measure to manage shared items in case they are moved between boards.

Unfortunately, monday.com currently does not notify when an item is moved from a board—only when it is received on a new board. These webhooks are therefore critical for maintaining a smooth user experience, ensuring that item movements are tracked and updates are properly synced across all boards.
