🔍 Overview


If you're trying to add or sync an item to another board using Same Item Multiple Boards (SIMB) but:

  • The destination board is not showing, or
  • You can’t find a board from another workspace, or
  • Only some boards appear in the SIMB list

…then the most likely reason is:

👉 The app was installed for only one workspace instead of all workspaces.


When SIMB doesn’t have access to all workspaces, any board outside the originally selected workspace will not appear, causing issues like:

  • “Board not appearing when trying to sync items”
  • “Can’t see boards from other workspaces”
  • “Automation can’t find my board”


🛠️ How to Fix It: Enable SIMB for All Workspaces

Here’s how to update your installation settings so all your boards become visible:


1️⃣ Go to the Apps Marketplace


Open Apps → Marketplace.




2️⃣ Search for Same Item Multiple Boards


Open the SIMB app listing.




3️⃣ Open the App Management Tab


Click the App Management tab inside the SIMB app page.



4️⃣ Check Your Installation Scope


Here you’ll see whether SIMB is currently enabled for:

  • One workspace (most common cause of “board not showing”), or
  • All workspaces (recommended)

If it shows only one workspace, that explains why boards from other workspaces are not appearing in SIMB.




5️⃣ → Switch to All Workspaces

Update the configuration by selecting All Workspaces and save.

This gives SIMB permission to access (and therefore display) every board in your account.



6️⃣ Try Linking the Board Again

Go back to your item, automation setup, or SIMB view and search again.

Your previously missing board should now appear. 🎉

💡 Still Not Showing? A Few More Things to Check

If your board continues not appearing, also confirm:

  • ✔️ You have access to the board
  • ✔️ You’re checking from the correct board/view
  • ✔️ You’re logged into the right workspace
