This article explains how to add an item to another board and ensure it is assigned to a specific group using the "Same Item Multiple Boards" app on monday.com.
Assigning items to specific groups helps maintain organized workflows and ensures tasks are categorized correctly.
1️⃣ Open the Integrations Section
- Open the board where the item currently exists and click the “Integrate” button at the top.

2️⃣ Search for the “Same Item Multiple Boards” App
- In the integrations search bar, type **“Same Item Multiple Boards.” **If it doesn’t appear immediately, wait a few seconds.

3️⃣ Select a Pre-Made Integration Recipe
- Browse through the available recipes and choose the one that allows you to add an item to another board and specify the target group.
💬 Note: In monday.com, “recipes” refer to automation templates — they let you perform specific actions automatically, without having to repeat manual steps every time.

4️⃣ Configure the Recipe
- During setup, select the target board and the group where the item should be added.
- Click Add to board and then Save your integration settings.

5️⃣ Test the Integration
- Create or update an item on the source board to trigger the integration.
- Check that the item appears in the correct group on the target board.
💡 Tip:
If the desired group doesn’t appear during setup, make sure it already exists on the target board. You can also duplicate an existing recipe for different groups if needed.
