Although the Formula column is still not fully supported by the Same Item Multiple Boards app, there’s a simple workaround that lets you transfer formula results between boards automatically using the Connected Boards and Mirror columns.

1️⃣ Add a “Connected Boards” column

📍 On your target board (the one that should receive the formula result):

  • Add a Connected Boards column.
  • Connect it to the source board where the Formula column exists.
  • Add a Mirror column and select the Formula column from the source board as the data to mirror.

2️⃣ Set up the automation

📍 Go to the board where you want to mirror the formula:

  • Click Automate → Templates and search for “connect”.
  • Choose the recipe:“When column changes, connect the item where this column matches another column in another board.”
  • For the trigger, select a column you update frequently (e.g., Status).
  • Match items based on a shared identifier — typically the Name column.
  • Confirm that both boards are connected correctly and save your automation.

3️⃣ Test your setup

  • Change the trigger column (for example, set Status to “Done”).
  • This will activate the automation and connect the matching item in the other board.
  • Check the Mirror column — the Formula result should now appear automatically!

💡 Tips

  • Use a column you update often (like Status) to ensure your automation triggers reliably.
  • Periodically review your automation logic to confirm it’s still connecting items as expected.

✅ Once this setup is complete, the formula result from one board will automatically appear on another letting you view and use the calculated values without manual updates.
