The Connected Boards column is now supported in the Same Item Multiple Boards (SIMB) app on monday.com.

This feature allows you to connect multiple boards, sync items automatically, and even set up Mirror or Formula columns between them.

1️⃣ Create a Connected Boards column on both boards

  • Go to your first board.
  • Add a new column and select Connected Boards from the list of column types.
  • Name it (e.g., “Project Link”).
  • Repeat the same steps on the second board and use the exact same name (“Project Link”).

2️⃣ Manually connect the boards

  • Return to your first board and open the Project Link column settings.
  • Manually select the boards you want to connect.
  • Go to the second board and repeat the process — make sure to connect the same boards in its Project Link column.

Once both boards are connected, the sync will start automatically.

Any connected items will now update across both boards in real time.

3️⃣ (Optional) Add a Mirror column

If you want to display specific data (like Status, Date, or even a Formula result) from another board:

  • Add a Mirror column to your board.
  • Customize it to pull information from the connected board (e.g., “Date” or “Sales”).
  • The values will automatically reflect changes from the source board.

💡 Tip:

If your Connected Boards column isn’t syncing, double-check that:

  • Both boards are manually linked to each other.
  • The Connected Boards column has the same name in both boards.
  • The correct boards are selected under column settings.

✅ Once set up, the Connected Boards feature keeps your data synchronized across boards letting you manage items seamlessly without manual duplication.
