🕸️ Why Are There Webhooks on Your Boards?
Webhooks are an essential part of how Same Item Multiple Boards (SIMB) keeps your shared items connected, updated, and perfectly in sync across all your boards.
Here’s why they’re needed — even on boards where you don’t think the app is being used 👇
⚡ What Do Webhooks Do?
🔄 Real-Time Updates
Webhooks allow instant communication between boards.
When something changes — a status, a text field, an assignment — SIMB receives that signal and updates the connected boards immediately.
🤖 Automatic Sync
Webhooks remove the need for manual actions. SIMB keeps items, updates, and columns synchronized automatically behind the scenes.
🧐 Why Webhooks Appear on Boards Not Actively Using SIMB
SIMB also adds “move item to group” webhooks to boards that don’t seem to be actively using the app.
Why?
Because monday.com does not notify when an item leaves a board, only when it arrives.
These extra webhooks ensure that shared items continue to sync correctly even if they’re moved around unexpectedly.
This helps maintain a stable and predictable experience—no lost updates, no broken syncs.

🚫 What If My Webhooks Are Deactivated?
If your webhooks are disabled (manually or due to a system glitch), item synchronization across boards will stop.
Here’s how to fix it:
🛠️ Try this first: Reinstall the webhooks
You can reinstall them directly from your board settings:
Settings → Board settings → Webhooks
If something looks off, simply reinstall or re-enable the webhook.
